One day, as I was doing a search on my computer, choosing my favorite search engine, Google, my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to hit the picture above the Google logo. It was St. Patricks day and the animation came alive with a dancing shamrock. Another time it was the first day of spring, clicking again, bunny’s started hopping and then I was brought to a webpage educating me on the Spring Equinox. Clicking another day brought me to the Doodle 4 Google National project, showcasing a national art challenge with the theme, “What makes me…me?”.
On a daily basis, we get so automated with our daily routine and focused on the details without looking around to see what is different. Just diverting our focus away, simply for a minute, allows new things to enter our consciousness, like a new way of finding out something new, coming to us, not us searching for it. Broadening our scope of what is out in the world.
