Have You Ever Listened to the Silence?

When I take my dog Bella on her daily walk, like most people who aren’t walking with a human companion, I would plug into my iPhone and listen to my music. However recently, I have been going earbud free. Listening to the wind, birds chirping or just the crunch of the gravel under my feet, is more relaxing to me then even soft music being piped into my ears.
Have you ever really listened to silence? There still seems to be something to listen to. For me, I run through things I need to do, rehearse a conversation, or the list of things to get at the store. Others are able to tune into the quiet and get connected to energy that only silence brings. One women I was talking to says that she is able to connect with her dearly departed mother and become aware of the signs she is sending when it is quiet.
Quiet seems to be the key ingredient that calms people down, slows the heart rate and steadies the breathing. However, when there is silence, is that still a type of sound? Try listening to the silence and see what it is telling you. Leave it to Laynie
