I went to camp for 11 years, 8 of those years to overnight camp, each session lasting 3 1/2 weeks.  It was only 45 minutes away, as I realized later as an adult, but it was worlds away from my everyday life.  The spirit, camaraderie and the sheer joy I felt at my home away from home kept me coming back year after year.  Singing camp songs and cheers gave you the instant feeling of belonging. What I’ve learned in my 50 Years

As my impending birthday is rounding the last corner, I can’t help but reflect back on what lessons I have learned during my time on earth:

Life is really better if you live by the “Golden Rule”. 

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  Whether you call it Karma or by another name, life is always better if you follow this simple lesson that most of us learned in preschool.
